I love the smell of sage...

Hello there,
Our color theme at the Rainbow Card Challenge, for the month of November, is sage... I know, it's the color, not the plant. But, every time I say it, I can't help but smell the sage at the Thanksgiving table.
I love the color too.
It seems so warm and welcoming.
Like a wreath on the door.
Or sprigs of sage as place cards on the table.
Or wrapped around pumpkins.

Ok, enough daydreaming... Let's get on with the challenge:

Beautiful, isn't it???
I love all the different shades.
Here is my card:

Again, just like last month, the pictures turned out to be much lighter than in real life. I am so disappointed. Going to have to work on that.

As you can see in the close up, I printed a script first and then layered the leaves on top. The print is an old stamp on wood, but I still love it. It's a very pretty script. The leaves are a new stencil I bought and I just love it.
The "Blessed" is a cut from my Silhouette Cameo machine.

I sent this card to a missionary couple in Puerto Rico that our church sponsors. I hope they enjoyed it.

So that's it for me,
thank you for coming by,
please leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you.
Hugs,

  1. Elena, your card is beautiful! I absolutely love the design with the script and your stenciled leaves. They are beautifully arranged and such a great stencil. Wow, I love that you used your Silhouette for "blessed." It's truly beautiful and will surely encourage your missionary couple. I use GIMP for editing my photos, and I first change the "levels" to make the whites more true. Then I adjust the brightness and contrast. I hope that might help you, depending on what you use to edit your photos. However, your cards are still beautiful, sweet friend! Thanks for sharing them. Hugs and love!

  2. Lovely card. I like the background you created and how the sentiment pops off the card. I'm sure the recipients love this card.
