January 1, 2021

Hello bloggers,
It's been a long few months since I posted a card.
I have moved from Ohio to Arizona, got Covid for most of November, and then had to unpack and organize before I could get my head into making a card. Praise God we all got through the sickness ok with no lingering after-effects. We were sure sick for a while and my son-in-law complained that he can't ever remember feeling that sick for that long ever before.

As I have mentioned before, my friend Dee and I have a challenge going between the two of us and we use the alphabet as our prompt. We are on I right now and I had decided to use this mouse with the ink bottle for "ink", even before the move. And I didn't change my mind!

So here's my card with this cute little mouse. It's a very simple card but that's all I could do for right now.

This is a Penny Black stamp from a long time ago. I bought it used about 10 years ago.  I don't use these mouse stamps very often, but I like them a lot.
I used Bristol water color paper but colored everything with pencils.

The frame is a die cut from Gina Marie designs and it's the "wonky stitched frame". This is my first time I got to use it because I bought it just before we moved here.

The mouse on the envelope was colored with pencils too.

So I am entering this card in these challenges:
Watercooler Wednesday Challenges: anything goes

Die Cut Divas Challenge: frame it... my frame is a die cut

Love to Scrap Challenge: Anything goes

Patties Creation Challenge: Anything goes

Thank you for visiting me
I pray for you and your loved ones to be blessed greatly in
2021!!!

  4. What a wonderful card Elena! The simplicity of it gives it a very elegant feel and I love the way the little mouse is putting the finishing touches to the letters. I'm so glad to hear you've recovered after being so ill and after a stressful time moving too. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2021 and blessings in your new home. Vicky x

  6. Lovely card Elena. That image is just so sweet and what a nice way to usher in the new year. I'm sorry to hear that you had to deal with this horrible virus but am happy that you don't seem to have any lasting effects.

Thanks so much for entering your project into our latest challenge over at Pattie's Creations. Good luck in the draw.
